All submissions must be previously unpublished works in both physical and electronic forms, including your personal social media accounts.

Poetry
We are looking for poetry that expresses unconventional emotions through unparalleled and crafted imagery and/or lyricism.
• Max of 3 poems per reading period
• We appreciate brevity, no more than 50 lines (including breaks)
• Submit in one file, a pdf, doc or docx
Prose
Whilst we accept all forms of prose, we are in particular interested in those with magic realist and absurdist inclinations.
• 1 piece per reading period
• Max 2000 words
• Submit in one file, a pdf, doc or docx

Selected works will appear on our digital platforms (including our website and social media channels), with the possibility of featuring in our physical copies in the near future.
The Literary Canteen does not offer honorarium for the selected pieces at the moment.
